These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed with HotPlatesNI (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Products

We supply the following products:

  • Road-legal number plates

  • Show plates (non-road legal)

All products are made to order based on the information provided by the customer.

2. Road-Legal Number Plates

Road-legal number plates are produced in accordance with current UK regulations.

By purchasing road-legal plates, you confirm that:

  • You are legally entitled to display the registration number

  • You have provided valid and accurate documentation

  • The information supplied is correct and truthful

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order if required documentation is not provided, is incomplete, or is deemed invalid.

3. Show Plates (Non-Road Legal)

Show plates are sold strictly for off-road use only, including:

  • Car shows

  • Exhibitions

  • Private land

  • Photography or display purposes

Show plates:

  • Are not road legal

  • Must not be displayed on public roads

By purchasing show plates, you accept full responsibility for their use.
HotPlatesNI accepts no liability for misuse or unlawful display of show plates.

4. Customer Responsibility

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure:

  • All entered text, spacing, and formatting are correct

  • The chosen plate type is suitable for its intended use

We are not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information supplied by the customer.

5. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are listed in GBP (£)

  • Payment must be made in full at the time of order

  • We reserve the right to change prices without prior notice

Orders will not be processed until payment is received.

6. Order Processing & Dispatch

  • All plates are custom-made to order

  • Dispatch times are estimates and may vary during busy periods

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by courier services

7. Returns & Refunds

Due to the custom nature of our products:

  • Custom plates are non-returnable and non-refundable, unless faulty or incorrect due to our error

Refunds or replacements will only be offered if:

  • The product is defective

  • The item received does not match the order

Any issues must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, with clear photographic evidence.

8. Cancellations

Orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you believe an error has been made.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses

  • We are not responsible for legal penalties arising from misuse of plates

  • Our liability is limited to the value of the product purchased

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including images, text, and branding, is the property of HotPlatesNI and may not be copied or used without permission.

11. Privacy & Data Protection

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Uploaded documentation is used solely for compliance purposes.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland / United Kingdom.
Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of UK courts.
